OUR RETIREMENT
After spending 20 odd years actively involved in      developing teddy bears as a major collectable we have decided the time is now right to retire our shop.  We now have other things to pursue both personally and with our family.
When our shop was started in the Spring of 1984 we were only the 2nd Specialist Teddy bear Collectors Shop in the UK following close behind Asquiths who had opened their famous little Windsor shop a couple of months before.

But Margaret and I had a vision which was to try and stimulate and     encourage the growth and development of the great hobby of teddy bear collecting, which was in the doldrums following the recent death of the great Peter Bull. 

We decided to try and establish a viable market here in the UK and to try and bring back the world spotlight on the British and their rightful        position in the teddybear world. If it needed to be done then we would take on the task if it would help and during the past 20 years or so we have tried many new ideas and concepts and have been UK market     leaders as well as championing the cause during that time.
We are extremely proud of the ideas we have introduced and the fact that had we not decided to do what we did in 1984 it is very likely that teddybear collecting in this country would not have expanded to the     extent it did and provide a reasonable livelihood for so many people.
It has been a long and to be honest at times a most arduous, hard and  expensive journey but on reflection thoroughly worthwhile as we have made so many friends throughout the world and have so many fond memories.
So we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our friends and we hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have.
